The opening of Issey Miyake’s show was not particularly wearable, but when have we ever expected wearability from Miyake? What it was, though, was very interesting. While this season hasn’t lacked in beautiful clothes, I’ve yet to see something new and exciting. The more innovative lines haven’t been showing things that are particularly my taste, so it was fun to see Miyake’s origami-inspired looks. His taste for technology and masterful construction were evident, and oh man were they perty:
