Fashion’s Night Out Update

September 7, 2011

Fashion’s Night out is on Thursday, and while I posted a pretty extensive list of some early highlights already, there were a few that weren’t announced yet that I knew I needed to include:

Alice + Olivia: 755 Madison Ave

Alice + Olivia will be hosting a cute carnival themed party, complete with classic snacks like snow cones and cotton candy, as well as fun games.

Maybelline: Gansevoort Plaza at Little W 12th St and 9th Avenue

A definite stop on my night out will be a visit to Maybelline’s shindig, where they’ll be giving out free tubes of their famous mascara (just in time, since mine is drying out) that can be signed by their spokesmodels, as well as T-shirts designed by Patricia Field, while supplies last of course.

Etiqueta Negra: 273 Lafayette St

This Argentinian-themed soireé will have live music and a tango performance.

Manolo Blahnik: 31 W 54th St

A very exciting celebrity appearance will be at their store. Can you guess who? Why yes, it will be Sarah Jessica Parker, celebrating their latest collaboration. They will also be sending out a truck selling Blahnik’s favorite treat, milkshakes, around the city throughout the day. The schedule is as follows:

1. 42nd Street and Broadway from 12:00pm to 1:30pm

2. Washington Street and West 13th Street from 2:30pm to 3:15pm

3. Prince Street and West Broadway from 3:45pm to 4:00pm

4. 58th Street and 5th Avenue from 5:15pm to 6:00pm

5. Manolo Blahnik, 31 West 54th Street from 6:15pm to 9:00pm

Bloomingdales: 1000 3rd Avenue

I somehow managed to overlook that Donald Glover will be at the 59th St Bloomingdales. For shame, self. For shame.

Patricia Field: 302 Bowery, or 9 E 1st St

I’m not sure why Patricia Field and Veselka are buddies, but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. For whatever reason, she’s partnering with the delicious Ukrainian restaurant for her FNO festivities both at their new East Village store (on 1st st) and her boutique on the Bowery, where there will be free pierogies and vodka. Why not?

Betsey Johnson: 128 Wooster

Betsey’s event is pretty run-of-the-mill including champagne, cupcakes and (this sounds fun) a parfait bar, but I just have a feeling it’s going to be extra fun because, well, because it’s Betsey.

So, after much deliberation, here is my downtown Fashion’s Night Out itinerary:

Ash Footwear (44 Mercer St)
BedHead Pajamas (252 Elizabeth St)
BELLE by Sigerson Morrison (28 Prince St)
Betel (51 Grove St)
Cours la Reine (50 Bond St)
L’Occitane en Provence (146 Spring)
Poppy (281 Mott St)
Scoop NYC (861 Washington St)
Teen Vogue Block Party (Bleecker and W 11th St)
Betsey Johnson: 128 Wooster
Patricia Field: 302 Bowery
Maybelline: Little W 12th St and 9th Avenue
